Elias Rojas, shown to the left with Johnny, the mascot for the Fort Wayne Tincaps baseball team, continues to win road races throughout northeast Indiana. This past weekend he claimed his third win in a row when he was the top, overall runner in the Kilt 5K in Fort Wayne. His time for the five-kilometer race was 15:20. He also recently won the Fanny Freezer 5K in Fort Wayne with a time of 15:50.

The Indiana Tech track team opened its 2013 outdoor season at the Coastal Carolina University Shamrock Invitational in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina over the weekend with some great efforts at Doug Shaw Memorial Stadium. The Warriors faced top notch NCAA Division I/II competition from Ohio State, Costal Carolina, St. Augustine, Purdue, Murray State, and Boston University among many others.

But despite having a 9-point lead with 5 minutes left in the 4th, the Bruins wouldn't make it to the next round, falling 65-60 to the Bulldogs.
