FORT WAYNE — City officials are touting $100 million in projects this year during National Public Works Week.

Fort Wayne Mayor Tom Henry and public works and city utilities workers displayed showed off work vehicles for Franke Park Elementary students Thursday, according to a news release.

With funding from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, Fort Wayne will invest nearly $100 million into infrastructure.

2010 by the numbers:

Nearly 60 miles of road will be paved...

  • Nearly 60 miles of road will be paved or asphalt reconstructed
  • More than 5 miles of trails built
  • Nearly 3 miles of sidewalks completed
  • More than 20 miles of sewer, water and storm pipe will be constructed
