Sometimes, I flip through celebrity news sites, and they fill me with dread. This week was one of these weeks. Here's what's been going on:
Rumors have been flying that Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are splitting up, and visited a divorce lawyer (despite the fact the pair aren't married). In Touch Weekly reported that Angelina allegedly cheated on Brad with a dialect coach. Life & Style says Brangelina did visit a divorce lawyer, but only to draw up a prenuptial agreement-type...

The first few scenes of "The Book of Eli" looked like they were filmed in black and white. They weren't, and later the filmmakers use other, albeit muted, colors, but it's a moody, bleak-looking movie.
It works for "The Book of Eli," however. Muted colors and a liberal dose of grey is perfect for a post-apolcalyptic movie, even one as exciting and fun as this one.
The movie follows Eli (Denzel Washington), a survivor of a catastrophe that devestated our world....

With a nip-nip there, and a tuck-tuck there, 23-year-old bad actress reality show star/pop singer Heidi Montag looked like a different person.
Montag, star of "The Hills" and half of infamous celebrity-ish couple Speidi (with psycho husband Spencer Pratt), recently spent 10 hours under the knife getting 10 plastic surgeries. I have now seen James Cameron's epic "Avatar" and, I must confess, the crazy reactions to the movie are incredibly confusing. It was a fun movie, for sure - great special effects! - but it was predictable. In my review of the movie, I said "the story is downright ordinary and runs just a little bit long." My husband was more blunt - it was Disney's "Pocahontas" on another planet, and he was thoroughly unimpressed with the whole affair.
