FORT WAYNE — The Fort Wayne TinCaps open the 2010 Midwest League playoffs tonight at Parkview Field against the Great Lakes Loons. The game starts at 7:05 p.m. Fort Wayne pitcher Matt Lollis takes on Great Lakes' Allen Webster. The first 1,000 fans at Parkview Field get a free fleece scarf. There also are postgame fireworks. The TinCaps beat the Loons in the opening-round series last season en route to winning the first championship in team history.

AUBURN — A 1935 Model JN Duesenberg that late screen star Clark Gable loved, but refused to see after the death of his beloved wife, Carole Lombard, was driven in the Auburn Cord Duesenberg Festival Parade Saturday. FORT WAYNE — The Trek the Trails community bike ride set for 6 p.m. Sep. 7 has been moved to the dam in Johnny Appleseed Park near Coliseum Boulevard. The bike rides ended in August, but 5 additional rides were added after nearly 900 riders participated. FORT WAYNE — Police have arrested two brothers and charged them in connection with the armed robbery of the Ligonier CVS on Aug. 15, and another CVS store in Leo-Cedarville on Aug. 18, according to documents on file with the U.S. District Court in Fort Wayne.
