INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — Dozens of school districts closed for the day across Indiana as the state was hit by its second significant snowfall in less than a week.

Several inches of snow fell before daybreak Tuesday in much of the state, causing travel troubles for morning commuters.

The National Weather Service issued a winter storm warning for nearly the entire state. Snowfall totals were expected to range from about 3 inches in the Evansville area to a foot or more in northwestern Indiana, followed by possible drifting from wind gusts up to 30 mph.

Some parts of the state saw up to 10 inches of snow from a storm that started on Friday.
