BLOOMINGTON, Ind. (AP) — Southern Indiana's 9th Congressional District race could look very familiar to voters in November.
Democratic Congressman Baron Hill plans to file paperwork in Indianapolis Monday to seek election to a sixth term. That could set up a fifth election matchup with former Republican Rep. Mike Sodrel this fall.
Hill and Sodrel have faced each other in each congressional election since 2002. Sodrel won in 2004, but Hill regained the seat two years later. Hill won the 2008 election with nearly 58 percent of the vote.
Both candidates will face May primaries. Other candidates include Democrat Lendall B. Terry and Republicans Todd Young of Bloomington and Travis Hankins of Columbus.
